We were puzzled to see messages all over the Internet about alleged plans to create a "Russian military base" in Argentina. This provocative "fake" coup would not be worthy of comment, if it were not surrounded by wild guesses about our intentions and further development of relations with Argentina.

However, such guesses do not surprise us in the wave of disinformation, which was raised by western mass media at the drop of a hat for other reasons.

We would like to highlight: we are committed to gradual development of Russian-Argentinian relations in various areas. Our partnership has firm, friendly grounds. It cannot,by definition,be directed against anybody.
