On October 9, Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov received Presidential Adviser for International Strategy of the Republic of the Congo Francoise Joly.

Their discussion focussed on current issues related to further development of the bilateral relations that have been traditionally friendly, including Russian companies’ work to implement energy and infrastructure projects in this African country, including in the context of President of the Republic of the Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso’s participation in the Russia-Africa Summit scheduled to take place in Sochi on October 24.
