On October 30, Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov met with Vice President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea in charge of defence and state security Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, who is on a working visit in Moscow. They met at the Russian Foreign Ministry building.

The officials discussed several important issues related to the further development of what has traditionally been a friendly relationship between Russia and Equatorial Guinea, focusing on implementing the agreements reached by President Vladimir Putin and President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo on the sidelines of the Russia-Africa Summit in Sochi on October 24. They reaffirmed Moscow and Malabo’s commitment to promote political dialogue and step up mutually beneficial cooperation in trade and the economy, as well as in the military, technical and humanitarian fields.
