On November 6, Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov received Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Russia Ahmed Salem Al-Wahishi at the latter’s request.

The officials discussed the military, political and humanitarian developments in Yemen, including in the context of the signing of an agreement between the lawful Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council in Riyadh on November 5, and the prospects for reaching a comprehensive political settlement in Yemen.

They also spoke about several topical issues related to Russian-Yemeni bilateral relations.
