Press release on the presentation of the Yenisey Siberia comprehensive investment project in the Foreign Ministry

On November 11, the Cultural Centre of the Foreign Ministry’s Main Administration for Service to the Diplomatic Corps (GlavUpDK) hosted a presentation of the Yenisey Siberia comprehensive investment project. The ceremony was attended by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Krasnoyarsk Territory Governor Alexander Uss, Head of the Tyva Republic Vladislav Khovalyg and Head of the Republic of Khakassia Valentin Konovalov.

Representatives of the diplomatic corps, business community, Russian and foreign media were present at the ceremony for an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the economic, infrastructure, cultural and tourism potential of three Siberian regions at once. 

The presentation was opened by Mr Lavrov who drew attention to the large scale and investment appeal of the project, the economic potential of the Siberian regions and their natural and cultural assets. The minister noted the efforts of these regions to develop contacts with foreign partners and expand the geography of external ties, as well as the substantial contribution of the Foreign Ministry and its regional offices to facilitate these processes. 

The Krasnoyarsk Territory Governor and the heads of the Tyva Republic and the Republic of Khakassia told the guests about the details of the Yenisey Siberia project and their plans to build up business ties with foreign partners. 

The presentation, which was enthusiastically received by the guests, graphically demonstrated the socio-economic potential of the Yenisey Siberia regions and their culture and tourism assets.
