Incident with the Russian Embassy in Damascus

PRESS RELEASE

In the morning of the 22 September, one of mines blew up in the territory of the Russian Embassy in Syria as a result of a shooting attack to the Mezze district of Damascus by militants. Three employees were injured, but their life is not in danger.

The circumstances of the events are currently being investigated. Additional steps are being undertaken jointly with competent Syrian authorities to ensure security of the Russian diplomatic representation office in Damascus.
