Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s meeting with Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkiye Hakan Fidan

On October 18, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkiye Hakan Fidan in Istanbul on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting of the 3+3 Consultative Regional Platform.

The officials discussed certain aspects of Russia-Turkiye practical collaboration at multilateral platforms. They reiterated the need to coordinate both countries’ efforts to facilitate the resolution of regional conflicts, including in the South Caucasus and the Middle East.

The ministers touched upon key issues of Russia-Turkiye cooperation, primarily in the trade and economic sphere.

They reviewed a timeframe of upcoming bilateral contacts.
