Foreign Ministry statement on reciprocal personal sanctions on UK Parliament members
In response to London’s ongoing confrontational policy focusing on efforts to demonise our country, to fabricate anti-Russia narratives in order to diminish Moscow’s influence in the international arena, and to flood the neo-Nazi Kiev regime with weapons, a decision has been taken to include a number of members of the British Parliament on the Russian stop list.
The comprehensive nature of anti-Russia sanctions imposed by Great Britain and the hysterical statements by that country’s officials where threats are mixed with lies and outright rude rhetoric going our way clearly show that London has no intention whatsoever of abandoning its policy of open confrontation with Russia. Russophobia and the desire to destroy Russian statehood remain integral elements of British foreign policy which focuses on inflicting the greatest possible damage to our national interests.
Hostile statements and baseless accusations coming from members of the British Parliament, including public statements in favour of seizing Russian assets that had been immobilised in Western jurisdictions, not only condone London’s hostile policies, but are also used by detractors of mutually respectful dialogue with Russia to undermine the foundations of bilateral cooperation. We closely track this rhetoric and draw our own conclusions.
Following is a list of British nationals who are from now on barred from entering the Russian Federation.
