Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand Maris Sangiampongsa

On April 28, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand Maris Sangiampongsa on the sidelines of the BRICS Foreign Ministers Council meeting in Rio de Janeiro.

The ministers compared notes on key issues related to the development of  Russia-Thailand cooperation, including efforts to promote political dialogue and build up ties in trade and the economy, as well as humanitarian exchanges. They also discussed the coordination of efforts within BRICS and at other international venues and exchanged views on current international and regional issues. The ministers agreed to continue their mutually beneficial contacts.
