Russian ensemble "Echo of the Mountains" performed at the Arun Vihar Community Center in Noida
On February 13, the Russian folklore and choreographic ensemble "Echo of the Mountains" from Khasavyurt, Dagestan, performed at the Arun Vihar Community Center in Noida. Introducing the programme numbers, Third Secretary of the Russian Embassy in India Ekaterina Lazareva spoke in detail about the customs and traditions of the peoples living in Dagestan, whose dances the group performed.
The event was attended by more than 300 people, veterans of the Indian Army and their family members, while the Guest of Honour was the 25th General Office-Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command, Indian Army, Lt Gen (Retd) Praveen Bakshi.
The performance of Dagestan's ensemble organized with the support of Col (Retd) Shailendra Singh and Col (Retd) Prashant Gupta was awarded with a long applause.
