On June 9, Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov received Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to Russia Sidi Mohamed Taleb Amar at the latter’s request.

During the conversation, the officials discussed the further development of traditionally friendly bilateral relations including regular political dialogue on current Middle East and African issues, partly in the context of preparations for the upcoming 31^st session of the African Union’s Assembly of Heads of State and Government in Nouakchott on July 1–2, 2018.
