Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s opening remarks at a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, Nouakchott, February 8, 2023

Mr Minister,

Thank you for the hospitality you have shown us since our arrival. Yesterday we started to discuss vital issues of our bilateral relations and our cooperation on the international stage.

Today we have had a substantive and beneficial conversation with President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani. We really appreciate this opportunity.
