On October 8, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, Miroslav Lazanski in Moscow. He handed over copies of his credentials.

During the meeting, the diplomats discussed bilateral issues with an emphasis on promoting their strategic partnership. They also reviewed the schedule for political meetings.

Mr Grushko and Mr Lazanski discussed a settlement in Kosovo. They emphasised the importance of continuing close coordination in this respect based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and international law.
