Press release on the presentation of the Tula Region at the Russian Foreign Ministry

On March 1, the Foreign Ministry’s Reception House hosted a presentation of the Tula Region’s economic and investment potential and international and foreign economic ties. It was attended by representatives of federal and regional authorities, the diplomatic corps, business communities and Russian and foreign media.

The event was opened by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who noted the significant export and investment potential of the region oriented towards the modernisation of industry and the scientific and manufacturing sector of the region. He expressed appreciation for the efforts of the local authorities to establish and diversify international and foreign economic relations and maintain historical and cultural traditions recognised in the world. The region is creating a modern investment and transport infrastructure at an international level in order to attract Russian and foreign companies.

In their presentations and remarks, Governor of the Tula Region Alexey Dyumin and other speakers acquainted visitors with the unique conditions for doing business, the high business ratings of the region, prospects for advanced economic development there and plans to expand business ties with foreign partners and investors. A number of innovative projects, attractive for foreign businesses, were presented.

The colourful and bright presentation was of great interest to guests and demonstrated that the Tula Region is a stable leader, a dynamically developing region open to mutually beneficial cooperation with Russian and foreign partners.
