Fake news on the terrorist act on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines: the Irish media have hit rock bottom
For several months, the leading Western media have been carrying crazy headlines and putting forward numerous versions – one more fantastic than the next – in a bid to establish who staged the terrorist acts on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines.
This open secret is boggling journalists for a reason – using their language, it is “highly likely” that the goal is to divert public discussion and completely confuse public opinion. They are making all kinds of absurd claims, whereas the most obvious version has been confirmed by Seymour Hersh’s investigation. He is a celebrated
The problem is that this media tactic is not very efficient. More and more people are starting to ask inconvenient questions. In this case, the Irish Times and
This sensation was triggered by the frigate Admiral Grigorovich and the
Biased journalists immediately accused the Russian Navy of conducting intelligence operations. Moreover, they claimed it might have targeted “undersea cables and other critical infrastructure in an effort to disrupt western life…” By the way, since when has the internet become a prerogative of “the Western way of life”? It’s hard to imagine the bitter disappointment (yet another one) when they discover the facts about the speed, costs and quality of internet access in
The Irish media did not waste time weaving into it other instances of allegedly recon activities in those waters with the participation of the Russian vessels Bakhtemir and Umka, and in 2022 a certain flotation device registered in Cape Verde. Back then, these occurrences passed as unsubstantiated newspaper sensations, whereas today they are cast as proven facts.
This, in fact, represents the “arguments” that were used to come up with the adamant conclusion that it was Russia who “highly/most/somewhat likely” blew up... its own Nord Stream pipelines.
Interestingly, these insinuations went hand-in-hand with an identical fake story in the Danish media about a Russian warship, which could have been carrying onboard equipment for conducting special operations on the seabed, showing up in the vicinity of the gas pipeline blasts four days before the incident. It was announced that the Danish intelligence had photographs that were never shown to anyone. We provided our own answer in lieu of the Danish ignoramuses.
Now, on to the facts.
The area near the Danish island of Bornholm, where the September 2022 terrorist attacks took place, is closely monitored by intelligence from foreign countries, primarily Scandinavian countries and Germany, which precludes any possibility of Russia ever using its Navy forces in a covert manner.
Bakhtemir and Umka are a rescue tugboat and a supply vessel, respectively, which, by definition, are unrelated to military intelligence and cannot pose a threat to underwater infrastructure.
We are expecting more revealing reports about deep-sea fish and other seabed dwellers (not to be confused with Irish journalists) recruited by Russian security or military agencies.
With regard to the Nord Stream pipelines, Russia has been insisting on an objective investigation into this terrorist attack with the involvement of all stakeholders for eight months now. The UN Security Council met to discuss this incident. However, Western regimes have blocked an independent international investigation with the involvement of the Russian authorities and experts from Gazprom, which is the affected party. Official requests, such as the letter from Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin of October 5, 2022 and Foreign Ministry notes have remained without a substantive response.
The irrational fear experienced by the Irish reporters with regard to the proper functioning of the transatlantic cable is understandable. Should it break down, these graphomaniacs will no longer be able to freely distribute anti-Russian fake news around the world. The evolution of local phobias is reminiscent of the Swedish scenario, where the media have been searching for Russian submarines in their waters for years only to discover the Som submarine that sank in 1916.
The acts of sabotage on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines have become a kind of a litmus test that sets the propagandists following the guidelines from real journalists. Those who come up with ways to blame Russia for everything and continue to stubbornly ignore the findings of the investigation conducted by Seymour Hersh and avoid uncomfortable questions to the governments and agencies from the United States, Denmark, Germany and Sweden about the terrorist attack are, by a strange coincidence, the same “professionals” who holler about freedom of speech and pretend that Julian Assange does not exist. These people have nothing to do with real journalism.
Everyone can clearly see it, including the readers of these propaganda outlets, which until recently had a reputable reputation, but have now irreversibly slipped into the yellow press category.
