According to the preliminary reports, over 130 persons died on the 22 April in the train crash in the South-East of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) in the Katanga Province.

According to the information received from the Russian Embassy in Kinshasa, there are no Russian citizens among the victims in this disaster.

Moscow, in a show of support with the friendly Congolese people who faced this tragedy, extends its sincerest condolences to the families and friends of the dead, and also wishes a speedy recovery to the injured.
