Russian MFA Information and Press Department Comment on the Incident with Russian Citizens at Kyiv’s Borispol Airport
On November 24 at Kyiv's Borispol airport in Ukraine there was another incident with Russian citizens that has highlighted the hypocrisy of those government officials who in words advocate a constructive dialogue with Russia, but in fact block bilateral contacts.
Ukrainian authorities did not allow two Russian scholars who arrived in Kyiv – V. L. Frolov and Y. V. Meskova – to attend an international conference being held by nongovernmental organizations on topical issues of youth policy in Ukraine and Russia.
Everything indicates that certain political forces in Ukraine clearly do not like the bilateral dialogue that has gradually been coming back recently, aimed at creating conditions for the return of our relations to a real, mutually beneficial partnership path.
The responsible politicians in Kyiv should well think of the possible consequences of such practices and take measures for their early elimination.
