PRESS RELEASE
A telephone conversation took place on October 23 between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Igor Ivanov and French Minister of Foreign Affairs Dominique de Villepin.
The French minister briefed on the outcome of the talks held by the Foreign Ministers of Britain, Germany and France in Teheran on cooperation between Iran and the IAEA regarding nuclear programs in that country. Ivanov and de Villepin expressed satisfaction over Teheran's statement of readiness to sign the Additional Protocol to the IAEA Safeguards Agreement, to provide the Agency with full information on its nuclear programs and to suspend uranium enrichment.
Ivanov and de Villepin noted the importance of continuing the cooperation among Russia, Britain, Germany and France in the interest of resolving the situation around the nuclear program of Iran on the basis of the relevant IAEA resolutions.
