Press release on the capture of a Russian citizen in Afghanistan following a crash of a Mi-17 helicopter
According to media reports, a Pakistan-owned Mi-17 helicopter heading for maintenance in Russia crash-landed in Logar Province, Afghanistan, on August 4. The crew, including Russian citizen S.K. Sevastyanov (navigator, born 1956), were taken prisoner by Taliban militants.
