Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredow

On December 5, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredow in Moscow on the sidelines of a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Caspian Littoral States.

During the conversation, Mr. Lavrov and Mr. Meredow praised the level of Russia-Turkmenistan relations that continue to develop based on strategic partnership principles. They also discussed some bilateral issues, as well as interaction at the international and regional arenas.

The ministers signed a programme of cooperation between the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan for 2018.
