Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s greetings to participants and guests of Expo-Russia Vietnam 2019

I am delighted to be able to send my greetings to all the participants and guests of the 3rd International Industrial Exhibition Expo-Russia Vietnam 2019.

Vietnam is an old and trusted friend of Russia in Southeast Asia. For nearly 70 years, ties between our countries have served as an example of equal and mutually beneficial collaboration that is immune to any external factors.

Our relations have reached a level of comprehensive strategic partnership. Its integral part is trade and economic cooperation, which has been steadily improving. The international exhibition Expo-Russia Vietnam is contributing to the development of our practical interaction. The forum is generally recognised as a useful platform for exchanging information, holding meetings and coordinating promising joint projects and programmes in a wide range of spheres.

It is symbolic that this time the exhibition is being held within the framework of the Year of Russia in Vietnam and the Year of Vietnam in Russia, which attaches special importance to it.

I wish all the participants every success and all the best.
