Press release on the transfer of Ukrainian citizen Dmitry Bely to Ukrainian diplomats at the Russian Embassy in Afghanistan
On September 2, Ukrainian citizen Dmitry Bely, who had long been held prisoner by illegal armed groups on Afghan territory, was officially handed over to Ukrainian diplomats at the Russian Embassy in Kabul.
As previously reported, Mr Bely’s release was due to the efforts of various Russian agencies in close cooperation with various Afghan agencies.
During his stay on the territory of the Russian Embassy in Kabul, the Ukrainian citizen was provided with all the necessary assistance, including qualified medical assistance. We are pleased that Russia has managed to save Mr Bely’s life and secure his release.
