Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Hold Talks with German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle

The 13th round of Russian-German Interstate Consultations at Summit level, with the participation of members of the governments of the two countries, will be held in Hannover on July 18-19 in accordance with the agreement of the Russian President and the German Chancellor.

Within the framework of the ministerial segment of the summit, talks will take place between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle. The main emphasis during the exchange of views is expected to be laid on the assessment of the state of and prospects for Russian-German interaction on the international scene and on the discussion of some practical issues in bilateral relations.

After the talks, the Ministers will submit reports to the Russian President and the German Chancellor at the ISC plenary meeting on the work done under the auspices of the foreign affairs agencies.
