Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov Meets with Kazakh Secretary of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kanat Saudabayev

On December 1, Russian Federation Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov met in Athens with the Secretary of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kanat Saudabayev, on the sidelines of the meeting of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Ministerial Council.

The ministers discussed a number of practical issues on the bilateral agenda. During the conversation topical issues of the activity of the OSCE were also touched on, including its contribution to streamlining the European, Eurasian and Euro-Atlantic security architecture.

Long-term issues of continued Russia-Kazakhstan interaction, particularly in the OSCE, which Kazakhstan will chair in 2010, were keenly discussed.
