Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s meeting with UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet

On September 25, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a working meeting with UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet on the sidelines of the 74^th Session of the UN General Assembly.

The parties had an engaging conversation on a wide range of matters regarding the activities of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Russia’s collaboration with the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and universal cooperation in the field of promoting and defending human rights with the UN agencies.

The Foreign Minister invited the High Commissioner to pay an official visit to the Russian Federation next year.
