Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's meeting with Spanish Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation Josep Borrell

On November 23, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Spanish Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation Josep Borrell on the sidelines of the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Nagoya, Japan.

The ministers discussed the prospects for Russian-Spanish cooperation in various areas.

With a view to Mr Borrell's upcoming assumption of office as EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, the officials also touched upon certain aspects of Russia-EU relations, as well as a number of international issues.
