PRESS RELEASE

A telephone conversation took place on September 6 between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and Montenegro Vuk Draskovic.

Draskovic strongly condemned the mad terrorist act committed in the North Ossetian town of Beslan. He conveyed his deeply-felt condolences to the relatives and families of the dead and those injured, and expressed solidarity with the Russian people in these difficult days. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and Montenegro voiced readiness to give what help it can in eliminating the consequences of the terrorist act.

Lavrov thanked Draskovic for the condolences and support.
