On February 14, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov received a delegation of the Trilateral Commission made up of former US Deputy Secretary of State Strobe Talbot and the former UK and Japanese Ambassadors to the Russian Federation, Roderick Lyne and Koji Watanabe.

An exchange of views on a broad range of world problems and international engagement on major foreign policy issues took place. The members of the delegation also briefed the Russian side on the plans of work of the Trilateral Commission, in particular in the light of the preparations for an annual meeting of the organization to be held in Tokyo this coming April.
