Question: President Biden said that the threat of Russia using nuclear weapons is “real.” How do you assess this comment?

Sergey Lavrov: I find it difficult to comment on what US President Joe Biden has been saying lately. As do other observers who are wondering how to interpret all this. I would not attach too much importance to verbal escapades that have no foundation.

Question:  Recently, Vladimir Zelensky made a statement that if Russian President Vladimir Putin used nuclear weapons in Ukraine, the world would find a way to eliminate him.

Sergey Lavrov: This is an even more turbulent stream of consciousness. I can't comment on such things. I have not had medical training. But Ursula von der Leyen has.

Question: Why do we get targeted, while defending our interests? Verbally at least.

Sergey Lavrov: I cannot be responsible for the psychological condition of people who repeatedly, daily prove their lack of sanity.
