Russia’s G20 Sherpa Svetlana Lukash attended the BRICS CCI Annual Recognition ceremony in New Delhi

On January 19, Russia’s G20 Sherpa Svetlana Lukash attended the BRICS CCI Annual Recognition ceremony in New Delhi. The official part of the programme included her awarding with the Sustainability Champion and Special Contribution Awards.

In her address at the panel discussion, she praised India's G20 presidency in 2023, underscoring the commitment to continue joint fruitful work during the Brazilian Year in the G20 to further promote the sustainable development agenda as well as to enhance the role of the Global South in global governance. Svetlana Lukash also noted the imperative to reform international financial and economic institutions.

The event was attended by 14th President of the Republic of India Ram Nath Kovind and other prominent public figures.
