Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s meeting with Foreign Minister of Bolivia Celinda Sosa Lunda

On September 26, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Foreign Minister of the Plurinational State of Bolivia Celinda Sosa Lunda in New York on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.

The parties reaffirmed their resolve to further pursue multifaceted Russian-Bolivian cooperation. They specifically addressed some key aspects of expanding political dialogue and coordination in international affairs, and discussed in detail interaction in trade and the economy, including prospects for implementing large investment projects.

They also stressed the two countries’ commitment to upholding the central role of the UN and the principles of international law and touched upon some issues related to cooperation between Bolivia and BRICS.
