Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s meeting with Josep Borrell, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission

On September 23, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Josep Borrell, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, on the sidelines of the 76^th UN General Assembly session in New York.

During the meeting, the officials discussed a wide range of current regional issues, including the developments in Afghanistan, Ukraine and Mali, and regarding the JCPOA and the Middle East.

They also reviewed the status of and prospects for Russia-EU relations.
