Press release on Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko’s meeting with Head of Transnistria Vadim Krasnoselsky

On October 17, Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko met with Head of Transnistria Vadim Krasnoselsky at the Russian Foreign Ministry. A range of issues was discussed related to the provision of multifaceted Russian assistance to Transnistria to maintain socioeconomic stability on the left bank of the Dniester.

The parties also reviewed the state and prospects of the Transnistrian settlement negotiation process, including the results of the recent Permanent Conference on Political Issues in the Framework of the Negotiation Process on the Transdniestrian Settlement in the 5+2 format session in Bratislava. They reaffirmed the format’s relevance in helping resolve practical issues between the two banks of the Dniester and emphasised the need to fully implement the agreements reached between Chisinau and Tiraspol in 2017-2018. The positive role of continued contacts between the parties at all levels, including the highest, was noted.
