Press release on Udmurtia’s presentation at the Foreign Ministry
On October 31, the Foreign Ministry hosted a presentation on the economic and investment potential of the Udmurtian Republic. The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic missions accredited in Moscow, federal and regional authorities, business communities and Russian and foreign media.
The event was opened by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who noted the republic’s high investment attractiveness, advanced rates of industrial growth and diversification, as well as its commitment to producing high-tech products. The region is making great efforts to intensify contacts with foreign partners and expand the geography of its external ties. Udmurtia’s leadership is working consistently to create state-of-the-art investment and transport infrastructure to attract both Russian and foreign companies.
In their remarks, Head of Udmurtia Alexander Brechalov and representatives of the leading local companies described the business conditions in the region and promising innovations and new products, as well as their plans to encourage business cooperation with foreign partners. A number of innovative projects, in which business people and interested foreign parties could take part, were presented.
The presentation drew great interest from the guests and showed the trend of Udmurtia’s advanced development and exports, as well as its readiness for steady cooperation in various fields and rich culture.
