Press release on Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov’s meeting with a delegation of the Libyan Toubou tribe

On November 5, Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov met with a delegation of the Toubou tribe from Libya led by Adam El Tibawi, head of the Toubou National Assembly, at the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The officials discussed the developments in Libya, including in the south.

Mr Bogdanov stressed the importance of establishing prompt and inclusive intra-Libyan talks under the auspices of the United Nations in order to reach a political settlement and Libya’s sustainable development as a united and sovereign state with territorial integrity that would respect the lawful rights of all its ethnic and religious groups.
