On the massive act of terrorism in Yemen
PRESS RELEASE
A new tragic accident stroke Sana'a, the capital of the Republic of Yemen, on 11 July. A suicide bomber detonated himself in the building of the Police Academy when students were leaving the classrooms after studies. As a result, more than 20 people died and dozens were injured.
We vigorously condemn such provocative acts of extremists, who try to ruin the efforts made for stabilisation of the internal political situation in Yemen and establishment of the nationwide dialogue in this country. We expect the authorities of Yemen to take the effective measures for the soonest revelation and punishment of initiators of the terrorist act and to reinforce the security in general, which is, to our mind, the key precondition for further advancing of Yemen in terms of political process and social-economic reformation.
On our part we are ready to render our Yemen partners the necessary assistance in implementation of these prior tasks.
