Comment by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Alexander Lukashevich regarding the incident with the Dutch diplomat in Moscow
Moscow expresses its regrets regarding the unfortunate incident which took place yesterday, in the evening of the 15 October, when a Minister-Councillor of the Dutch Embassy in Moscow Otto Elderenbos was beaten by two unknown persons in his apartment.
Russian law enforcement agencies have undertaken all necessary measures to find and detain the persons who were involved in this crime.
The Russian party is ready to closely interactwith its Dutch partners to fully clarify the circumstances of this incident.
