On October 25, First Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov held talks with Foreign Minister of Denmark Jeppe Kofod and political consultations with Permanent Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs at the Danish Foreign Ministry Lars Gert Lose.

The status of relations between Russia and Denmark was discussed with a focus on ways to redouble joint efforts in order to reverse the negative trends that have emerged in bilateral ties in recent years.

A timetable of political contacts and joint events, including those to be held as part of economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, was reviewed.

The officials compared notes on issues relating to regional cooperation in the North and the Arctic, as well as in the Council of the Baltic Sea States, given Denmark’s current Presidency of this organisation.

There was a discussion on security matters in the Baltic Sea area, the state of affairs in the area of arms control, developments in Ukraine and Syria and several other international issues.
