Open Dialogue «The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth»

The National Center RUSSIA will hold the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth" from April 28 to 30. Experts and leading economists from the whole world will discuss current issues on the global economic agenda and propose new solutions for the sustainable development of the world economy. The results of the work will be presented in the format of the Open Report for further work with the received theses.

During the discussions at the Open Dialogue at the National Center RUSSIA, experts will focus on four core tracks to answer the question "What is the basis of new platform for global growth?"

Investments in human capital. Participants will discuss attracting investment in human capital: approaches and tools; The significance of values and traditions in people-saving; The implementation of an efficient demographic policy with the population ageing; Migration: challenges and opportunities for economic development; The labor market of the future: the impact of AI and training; Overcoming digital divide: steps towards equal opportunities; Make way for the young: strategies to reduce youth unemployment; Transformation of education: how new technologies will change learning; Happiness Index: strategies for enhancing population well-being; The economics of a healthy lifestyle: prospects and effects of promoting healthy lifestyle.

Investments in technology. Experts will focus on such topics as: New technologies for ensuring food security; Breakthrough technology in industry; The changing of countries' sectoral specializations with the advent of new technology; Artificial intelligence as a key end-to-end technology; Optimization of the healthcare system using advanced technology; Technological solutions to preventing or minimizing the consequences of natural disaster; Technology for water resources management in the context of climate change; Cybersecurity in the era of the big Data economy; Technology for providing accessible and sustainable energy; Using technology to develop smart cities; The platform economy.

Investments in environment. The discussion will cover the following issues: Human-centricity as a principle of territorial development; Green infrastructure: creating sustainable and environmentally friendly urban spaces; Transport accessibility for everyone; Creating comfortable environment subject to climate change; The potential of the circular economy; A path to creation: corporate social responsibility as a global norm; Managing natural hazards; Barrier-free and inclusive environment – luxury or necessity; Conscious consumption as the basis for conscious supply; Opportunities for the development of sustainable tourism to enhance the quality of the urban environment.

Investing in communication. The Open Dialogue will discuss the future of trade; Reducing barriers to services trade; Approaches to infrastructure development in the 21st century; New logistics routes in the global South and East; How to build an intercultural dialogue; Global challenges and responses of insurance industry; Improving financial flows; Digital currencies as a tool to increase international financial network; Data mobility as part of global communication; E-commerce and logistics platforms.

Anyone interested is also invited to participate in forming proposals for discussion in the open dialogue format. It is necessary to submit the ideas on the topic of ensuring global economic growth in essay format by March 9, 2025. The essay should be devoted to one of four topics: "Investments in Human Capital", "Investments in Technology", "Investments in Environment", "Investments in Communication". Working language is determined by the author of the essay. Volume – up to 5 printed A4 sheet or up to 10 minutes of the report in the native language. Authors should take into account ethical requirements: the essay does not call for extremism or hostility on national, religious, cultural or other grounds; does not contain unmotivated and unfounded criticism, hidden advertising; the submitted essay guarantees the authorship of the sender. In case of citing other authors, a link to the source should be provided. Essays in an electronic editable format (*.doc, *.txt) should be sent to the address dialog@russia.ru .

The authors of the best essays on the above-mentioned topics will be shortlisted and invited to the National Center RUSSIA on April 28-30, 2025, to participate in the in-person stage of the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth". Details on the website russia.ru .

The main goal of the project "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth" is to work out a number of initiatives and recommendations aimed at ensuring stable economic growth in the context of ongoing challenges and changes. The conclusions and recommendations of experts will form the basis for subsequent activities and strategies aimed at developing the global economy.
