Press release on another shipment of Russian humanitarian aid to Afghanistan
Russia continues to provide assistance to the friendly people of Afghanistan that were affected by the recent devastating earthquake in the southeast of the country. Under a Russian Government directive, with assistance from Russian diplomats, a special Russian Emergencies Ministry flight delivered 24 tonnes of medicines and essential items to Kabul on July 20.
This is Russia's second humanitarian action this week to help the people of Afghanistan.
The local authorities in the affected regions, where the humanitarian cargo was sent, expressed their deep gratitude to Russia.
