Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s meeting with Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to Russia Riad Haddad
On October 17, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov received Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic Riad Haddad to mark the end of his ambassadorship in the Russian Federation.
The officials discussed current issues related to promoting traditionally friendly Russian-Syrian relations, including expanding trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation.
They stressed the importance of maintaining an active political dialogue between Moscow and Damascus, as well as close regional and international coordination, with a focus on the tasks of a comprehensive settlement in Syria.
