Question: We do not interfere in the affairs of the United States, but a former US president has never been indicted in the history of the United States.

Sergey Lavrov: You yourself said that we do not interfere. They are doing fine without us.

Question: Your deputy said today that we are actually in the hot phase of a war against the United States. At the same time, the US ambassador presented her credentials today. How does it add up?

Sergey Lavrov: Indeed, we are in the hot phase of a war, because the Ukrainian Nazis are fighting with US-made weapons. The US administration is threatening to supply longer-range and more lethal systems.

I believe, though, that relations should be maintained. At least, we do not lose hope that the Americans will wake up eventually and resume some kind of a dialogue. We’ll see. It won’t be a long wait.
