Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's meeting with Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia Kairat Sarybay

On February 8, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Kairat Sarybay, who was on a working visit in Moscow.

The sides discussed current issues of the association's activities and the prospects for its development. Sergey Lavrov emphasised Russia's focus on further work within the CICA platform and constructive participation in the ongoing discussion on transforming the conference into a key element in the system of security and stability in Eurasia.

In the course of separate consultations with Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Andrey Rudenko, Mr. Sarybay discussed in detail the practical aspects of Russia's work within the CICA platform.
