Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s participation in the 7th Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Russia and Central Asia Countries

On April 12, 2024, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will take part in the 7th Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Russia and Central Asia Countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan), to be held in Minsk on the sidelines of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council Meeting.

The meeting participants will discuss the implementation of agreements reached following the 1st Russia – Central Asia Summit on October 14, 2022, in Astana. There are also plans to exchange opinions on key international and regional issues. The ministers will also conduct a separate discussion of environmental issues and prospects for cooperation in this important sphere.
