On October 16, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Mauro Vieira.
In the course of the conversation, they discussed preparations for the 16th BRICS Summit to be held in Kazan on October 22-24, as well as certain aspects of the BRICS activities. The ministers also touched on the Ukraine crisis.
