Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s opening remarks at a meeting with Foreign Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Gedion Timotheos on the sidelines of the first ministerial conference held as part of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum, Sochi, November 8, 2024.
Mr Minister,
It’s good to see you again. We met in Kazan two weeks ago during the meeting of our respective presidents.
This meeting today offers another opportunity to share our perspectives. Thank you for accepting our invitation to come to the first ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum, which took place shortly after your appointment. Once again, I congratulate you on your appointment.
I look forward to continuing our productive cooperation. This is a good opportunity to exchange views on our work at the bilateral, regional, and global levels.
