On January 30, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

The foreign ministers exchanged views on a number of topical issues on the regional agenda, focusing on the situation in Syria.

They reaffirmed a common stance on the importance of consolidating the efforts of all responsible members of the international community towards an early political and diplomatic settlement of the acute crises that are undermining peace and stability in the Middle East.

In addition, they discussed the practical aspects of the further strengthening of the multifaceted Russian-Saudi relations.
