“Candle of Memory” memorial in New Delhi

On May 5, on the occasion of the upcoming 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Russian Embassy in India hosted a memorial event “Candle of Memory”.

Employees of Russian organizations’ foreign offices, members of their families, as well as compatriots living in New Delhi, lit candles in memory of those who perished defending the Motherland.

The campaign participants were addressed by Counsellor of the diplomatic mission Yulia Aryaeva, Embassy’s School Principal Sergey Leppik and Head of the Indian branch of the All-Russian Public Movement “Volunteers of Victory” Ekaterina Semenushkova.
