On August 6, Kuala Lumpur was the site of a meeting between Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission.

The two officials discussed current international issues and some aspects of Russian-EU relations.
