Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s meeting with Serbia’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic

On June 2, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Serbia’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The officials stressed the high level of bilateral cooperation and growing political contacts and bilateral trade. They also confirmed mutual resolve to continue to coordinate their countries’ positions on Kosovo.

Mr Lavrov and Mr Dacic exchanged views on the situation in the Balkans and pointed out the unacceptability of aggressive Greater Albania rhetoric, which is fraught with destabilisation and a resurgence of the conflict in Southeast Europe.
